[Gaining "Wisdom"]

Dear Dear just extracted her wisdom tooth this morning. I am feeling a bit guilty about not being by her side when she went to extract her teeth, but thankfully, Yinxue and her friends accompanied her and saw first hand the whole process. I bet they are not going to get their wisdom tooth extracted anytime soon=)

Dear Dear, you must jia you and recover pretty quickly ok? Miss you lots. At least the worst is over...

[Our mission to save to spend more money next year=p]

This month Dear Dear and I have been really frugal...She has not gone to shopping, and I have not spent unnecessarily and kept my meal budget to $5 a day. And it is all for that holy grail of Linkoping/Europe where we would be able to put these money to better use, for a greater experience. Our budget has also been helped by the market crash in US and Europe (which has significantly improved the exchange rate from Singapore dollars to Swedish Kronor), and while I am not one to gloat over the losses of several million investors, or the trillions of dollars which had been wiped out from their portfolios, I feel that the majority of investors deserved it, for their investment policies were largely based on greed and short term profits, ignoring the fundamentals of the market...So you reap what you sow, and I have absolutely no sympathy for them...It is just sad that other innocent parties had to be dragged down with them. But anyhow, the new exchange rate is good!!! =)

This week is a long weekend...Actually Dear asked me to visit her house...but had to decline because I had to help prepare my sister's new room and new bed...Can tell she is kinda lonely and sad, especially since she has not been feeling well lately. Sorry Dear!!! But I am sure will spend more time with her next week...My timetable for the next 2 weekends will be kinda filled...Halloween Party on Friday, JC outing on Sunday night, DnD the following Friday, and Wang Wang's Birthday party on Sunday...Hope we will have some great quality time together. =)

Lastly, love you lots Dear. You must take care and rest well...=D

[Of Birthday and Exercise (Part 2)]

Another thing which has impressed me for the past one or two weeks or so is Baby exercising! Hahaz after more than a year of persuading her to exercise regularly...I think she has exercised as much as the whole of last year in these weeks (OK a bit exaggerating, but she has really exercised a lot these recent weeks)...and I am so proud of her!=)

Now Dear Dear is able to run 25 minutes non-stop on the treadmill, which equates to about 3km continuously...Hahaz I was really surprised because although I did not think she would improve so fast, when the day before, she could only manage 20 minutes on the treadmill and ran 2km only, plus she has not run for a really long time...This shows:
1) Dear does have quite a bit of sports genes (She is always telling me that she was a sprinter in Primary School...not that I doubt her sports genes, but seeing is believing)
2) The extra energy generated from the thoughts "I am fat" is limitless and boundless to women...Now I understand how some survive on just fruits and vege for half a year *Yuck*...From this energy generated and the immense desire not to be fat...Guys can learn a bit from this

Actually my greatest desire and wish will be for Dear Dear to enjoy exercising and to lead a healthy and active life...And I am pretty sure she will carry on exercising even after she has reached her ideal weight of 45 kg:)

[Of Birthday and Exercise (Part 1)]

This year is the second year that I am spending my birthday with my Dear Dear, but this year was different from last year. This is because last year I planned my own birthday...but this year it was Dear Dear who planned where to go, and she was so secretive about it (except she told me it was in Chinatown! My only participation was to state my preference for what kind of activity I wanted to have, and even this was given in riddles...The choices were "look see look see", "shopping" and "movies" but she stressed that it was not a normal "look see look see", nor a normal "shopping" or "movies" as well...In the end, I knew what "look see look see" and "movies" were, but I choose not to remember them so Dear Dear can include it into our list of outings when she is planning...

Once again, I don have pictures with me (I really dun have affinity with pictures!) because I am using Dear Dear's laptop to update this entry. We went to Chinatown (An Siang Hill), which was like a mini Holland Village tucked into a corner of Chinatown...Dear Dear had chosen the Screening Room as the first stop for our dinner. The whole place consisted of 3 stories, with a restaurant on the first floor, a lounge in the basement, a movie screening room on the second floor, and a rooftop open air bar on the top floor (I dunno why Ang Mohs dig open air bars so much, it ain't tt special). Anyway, this place was a place with a movie screening concept where you could spend on a package to watch a movie and have your meal at the same time...I did not really catch the catalogue of movies, but I am pretty sure they dun show blockbusters nor movies tt are constantly on the top 20 charts...

Anyway, for those who want to visit the Screening Room, be prepared to fork out quite a premium and please eat your supper before going there because their restaurant sells gourmet food at gourmet prices (a.k.a small portions of food which is big on price =p) and is likely to hurt the pocket quite a bit...I dun mind exploring some of the other restaurants along Ann Siang Hill though...

Baby bought me a Man U t-shirt (surprising!), a wallet (very nice wallet) and an even much nicer card...Haha I like the card a lot, it is very sweet and reflects the love and effort that Dear Dear has put in...We also ate my "birthday cakes" along a little alley, it was a little box of an assortment of 6 cakes and looked pretty exquisite, if only a tad sweet on the taste side...but overall it was a very memorable birthday...

Part 2 will be detailing about Dear's Dear's recent achievements which I am very very proud of =D

[Dear Dear is busy]

Currently, as I am typing this, Dear Dear is hard at work doing project now...Haiz, when you have to bring work back home to do over the weekend, it is damn sian...N Dear Dear has just recovered from her stomach infection only...Hope you dun strain yourself too much Baby! This week is a kinda busy week for me too, but I hope to accomplish these 3 things as I have been slacking too much over these things:

1) Eugene's present
2) My Blog design...Hope to get it done at end of the week now that no tuition + no teaching of sis
3) Uploading of pictures with Dear Dear on Blog (important!!)
4) Miscellaneous Projects (Secret)
5) Help Baby cross Patapon (negligible importance)

Waiting for Baby's call now, and to catch a quick nap in between...

[A night without Dear Dear]

Normally at this timing everyday, I'd be on the phone with Dear Dear just before we go to sleep. It has almost become a routine for us...Today is a little strange...as Dear Dear is at her uncle's house in Malaysia and she has turned off her handphone, so I have not been able to get her...Somehow something feels missing...Really hope she calls me before I sleep...For I miss her...

But if not...puci puca baaaaabyyyyy!! Gd nite and sleep tight!

[First Time at the Hospital]

Hmmmmzz Dear Dear say pass me the baking pictures already, but cannot find=( Thought of posting it today...nvm shall get from her again next time...
Dear Dear really scared me this week when she complained of stomach pains on Sunday night...She saw the NTU doctor on Monday but it became so unbearable the same night that in the end I had to send her to hospital...Many thanks to Yin Xue for lending us her car in such a time of need, and to Jix for taking time out to take care of Dear Dear so that I can drive carefully! Hahz come to think of it, this is the first time that we have gone to a hospital together, andalthough it is not really a "first time" that people look forward to, but well it is a first time experience anyhow! Anyway, bringing Dear to hospital was a good thing, as she was truly well by Wednesday and could focus all her energies on shopping. Up to now, I cannot comprehend the thrill of shopping, but yeah I guess that's why it is a ladies' activity...
Went to Vivo's Marche for dinner on Wednesday...It is still the same old nice Marche with the same old great rosti and same old great crepes and somehow it just feels more homely than Vilage. And I am still of the opinion that Vilage totally ripped Marche's concept so anytime I am in the mood for a good rosti, I will give the convenient HMV a miss and come down to good old Harbourfront...(The forever long queues is a minus point though...however shows people have the same gd taste as me=p)
